MODERN OR TRADITIONAL
Modern or Traditional Philip Thomerson specialise in both traditional and modern upholstery techniques. Traditional upholstery employs horse hair/coir fibre filling. Modern upholstery uses foam and Dacron filling (polyester fibre). Whichever you choose, you can be assured your furniture will be restored to it’s former glory and level of comfort.
YOUR FURNITURE
We employ a highly experienced team of skilled upholsterers in our workshops, and all work is done in-house. Collectively, we have upholstered in excess of 10,000 pieces. You are welcome to visit, and take a tour of our busy workshop for an insight into the work we do. Here is a brief outline of our process and your furniture’s journey with us, as we restore it to its former glory.
LOOSE COVERS
If your furniture is still serviceable, but the coverings no longer fit your style, loose covers are an extremely effective way of transforming your furniture at a relatively low cost. There are other advantages too – if you choose washable fabrics they can be easily kept clean and fresh and you can even have more than one set, in different fabrics, perhaps. We have hundreds of beautiful fabrics to choose from, so contact us today.
BESPOKE FURNITURE
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary, or perhaps something to match an existing piece? We can make you any style of sofa, chair or headboard, either from our own range or to your specific design or dimensions. All frames are made in-house by our skilled furniture makers, from the finest quality Palmira beech and come with our 10 year guarantee.
CURTAINS & BLINDS
Choose your perfect fabric from hundreds of samples. We'll then make your curtains or blinds as you like them – fully lined and weighted and fitting perfectly. We can also supply a range of accessories including tiebacks, cords, tracks, poles and finials for the perfect finish.
